The Bridgeport Bulldogs traveled to Morrill Friday August 24, to
battle the Lions.
New Bridgeport head coach, Chris Koozer of Grant, stated “Overall
the players did a good job, they did a lot positive things, and
although there were many 1st game mistakes, it’s what we can work
to improve on in practice.” Senior Jase D led rushing yards with
119 yards on 18 carries. Senior Chance C had 55 yards on 15
carries, and Junior quarterback Taylor C rushed 9 yards on 8
carries. Covalt tallied up 54 passing yards.
Coach Koozer was most impressed with the team not having a lot of
penalties and how hard the team worked throughout the game. Things
Koozer states he would like to improve on are taking care of the
ball more and minimizing turnovers. But that’s nothing hard work
and dedication can’t fix. The Bulldogs took a tragic loss to the
Lions with a final score of 12-6.
Attend the next game here Friday August 31, 2007 versus Hemingford.
Good Luck Bulldogs!!
