President George Chikos called the Hearing regarding Growth Rate for Expenditures, Parent Involvement, and Student Fees to order at 7:01 p.m. Roll call was taken. Members present: George Chikos, Kay Anderson, Ken Jacobson, Vickie Hall, and Dale Nichols. . Tardy: Justin Corman – excused. Also present were Superintendent Randy Butcher, Recording Secretary Vonnie Brown, and visitors.
The board reviewed the student fees policy and the parental involvement policy. The floor was opened for public comment.
The board reviewed the Applicable Allowable Growth Rate set by the state at 5.5% and the allowance for an additional 1% growth rate if the board has a super majority vote to approve it. The floor was opened for public comment.
Moved by Jacobson, seconded by Anderson to adjourn the hearing at 7:05 p.m. Yes: Chikos, Anderson, Nichols, Jacobson, Hall, and Corman. No: none.
