Three Bulldog golfers place in TOP TEN

Last Thursday, Bridgeport hosted the Western Trails Conference Girls’ Golf Tournament along with the Bridgeport Invitational. Teams that traveled to the Courthouse and Jail Rock Golf course were Bayard, Creek Valley, Crawford, Garden County, Perkins County, Kimball, Mitchell, and Scottsbluff JV. Shannon A earned a WTC championship with her score of 94.
With the Bulldogs hosting the meet, the Ladies felt comfortable at their home course. By placing three of their golfers in the top ten for WTC and two in the top ten for the Bridgeport Invitational, the Ladies competed extremely well. The Individual Top Ten is as following for the WTC Conference part of the Tournament:

Shannon A commented on the meet, “My goal was just to place and winning it was great. The team’s goal was to do well at conference and even though we didn’t win we did our best. It was a real accomplishment for me and our team.”
In the Bridgeport Invitational side of the meet Shannon A placed 4th and Alecia H placed 9th. “We played hard and Shannon played amazing. Hopefully our game will come around by Districts because we’re going to go to State,” said Senior Alecia H.
If the golfers continue to golf well they will have a great chance to go to State! Good Job Lady Golfers and Good Luck!!!
