A Little Time With Mrs. Janicek

Mrs. Tami Janicek has been teaching kindergarten here at Bridgeport for seven years, but has been teaching for a total of fifteen years. She attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Mrs. Janicek says her favorite thing about teaching kindergarten is, "I think it is so important to be able to make the first year of school a positive and fun learning experience for all students coming into kindergarten." Mrs. Janicek is married and has two young boys. Her favorite ice cream is a root beer float and she loves the color yellow. When she was a little girl she liked to play "kick the can". In her free time Mrs. Janicek spends time with her family and two yellow labs, goes for walks, and does scrapbooking. An interesting fact about Mrs. Janicek is that she has always wanted to be an elementary teacher. She goes on to tell us, "When I was little I would sit all my stuffed animals in a row and play school for hours."
