Bulldogs take on Warriors in 5 set thriller

The Bridgeport Volleyball girls traveled to Leyton to take on the Warriors on Sept. 27, 2007. The game throughout was a thriller and high scoring game. Leyton won the first two sets and was hoping to win the 3rd set for a victory. But the Bulldogs did not give up for they fought back winning the next two sets, taking them to the 5th and final set. The match ended with a Leyton win. The scores were 25-20, 22-25, 20-25, 11-25, and 17-15.
Senior Natalie H led the Bulldogs with 19 kills, 4 ace serves, 10 digs, and 2 single blocks, Sophomore Courtney L tallied up 18 kills, 17 digs, 2 ace serves, and 1 single block. Junior Renae J ended with 11 kills, 14 digs and 1 single block. Senior Ashley V finished with 9 kills and 20 digs, and Junior Molly S contributed 3 kills, 51 assists and 2 single blocks. Sophomore Charlee W had 36 digs. Sophomore Alexa L had 15 digs. Senior Kendal H also helped the team with 2 kills, 2 ace serves, 6 digs, and 1 single block. The girls put on a great fight and will be traveling to Creek Valley on Thursday, October 7, 2007, to play another great game. Good Luck Bulldogs!!!
