Cross Country: Running against the rivals

Beat Bayard, beat Bayard! This thought ran through each runners minds as they trudged through the long, twisting Bayard golf course. Bridgeport’s Junior High runners ran amazing races with Shawn W placing 2nd with a time of 10:10, Ciarra V earning 7th with a time of 12:46, Clint O ran hard receiving 5th place with a time of 13:55, and Chad S earned the 6th place spot with a time of 18:08.
The High School also ran hard, earning them high ranks in the competition. Jessica T went all out, earning her a 6th place award with an amazing time of 18:50. Freshman Valerie K lengthened her strides to fill the 11th place spot with a time of 20:17, while Simonne S ran right behind her, receiving 12th place with a 20:18.
Senior Caitlin D gave her all with a 23rd place finish at 23:54. Brandie W finished the Bulldogs’ run with a 27th place finish at 26:54. Good job Bulldogs and good luck with future meets!
