Cross Country competes well at WTC

On Friday, October 5th, the Bridgeport Cross Country Team
traveled to Bayard to compete in the WTC. In the girls’ race,
Jessica Toscano led the way for the Bulldogs, placing 4th with a
time of 17:07. Valerie Kesterson had a time of 17:47 placing her
7th. Simonne Spurgeon was next for the Bulldogs with a time of
19:28, giving her 18th place. Caitlin Draper placed 24th with a
time of 21:43. Brandie Widener came in 28th by a time of 25:14. Jr.
Toscano competed in the boys’ side of the race and came in 22nd
with a time of 21:28.
The Bulldogs travel to Kimball on Thursday for districts. Good
