Bridgeport splits matches at triangular

On Tuesday, October 23, the Bridgeport Bulldogs took on the
Gordon-Rushville Mustangs in their first match. The Bulldogs lost
the match 9-25 and 21-25. Natalie Hadden and Renae Jacobson led the
Bulldogs in kills with 3 each. Leicy Franklin and Molly Steer each
had 2 ace serves, and Ashley Vergil led the way in digs with 7.
Molly Steer had 11 set assists and 2 blocks for the Bulldogs.
In the next match, the Bulldogs took on the Mitchell Tigers. The
Bulldogs won 25-22 and 26-24. Ashley Vergil and Courtney Laux led
the way in kills with 8 each. Molly Steer had 22 set assists, 3 ace
serves, and 11 digs, while Charlee Walleson and Renae Jacobson each
had 9 digs. Vergil also had 3 blocks.
The Bulldogs will be in action again on Monday, October 29, for
sub-districts. They will take on Hemingford at 5:30.
