Bridgeport Ladies basketball underway

The Bridgeport girls’ basketball team is fully ready to take the court. Coach Bryan Schluterbusch, coming to his 12th season for Bridgeport, says, “We will have a good balance of size, quickness, and we should have a lot of depth.” The Lady Bulldogs have made their trip to the State Basketball Tournament in Lincoln, NE, the past two years and is hoping to keep working hard to make it again.
Returning starters include the following: Senior Natalie H, Senior Ashley V, and sophomore Courtney L. Returning letter winners include the following: Senior Morgan B, juniors Marissa S, and Molly S, and sophomore Charlee W. Newcomers to the team who are likely to contribute include seniors Leicy F, Ti W, junior Renae J, sophomores Simonne S, Manda S, and Emily W. Freshmen include Nicole H, Alyssa P, Taylor H, Emily P, and Carlee P.
Coach Schluterbusch said, “Keys this season will be staying healthy, playing together, and getting experienced at the guards quickly. We can challenge for conference and district titles.” The Lady Bulldogs will take the court at Garden County Eagles on November 30th, and again on December 1st at home against the Morrill Lions.
