Angela W and Titus K have achieved another high honor—this time a six state honor choir! This prestigious choir, the North Central Division Convention, will be held in Fargo, North Dakota (about eleven hours away) on March 5-8, 2008. Angela and Titus auditioned on tape, neither expecting to make it. Thirty kids from the six states (Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin) were chosen for each voice part. Putting it into perspective, that would equal five kids per STATE!
There will be a men’s honor choir directed by Brad Holmes, and a women’s choir directed by Pearl Shangkuan. Approximately 120 students will be in each choir. There will also be a jazz, elementary, and middle-school choir. Collegiate choirs such as UNL will also be performing. The choirs will sing their hearts out at the Reinecke Festival Hall at the North Dakota University Campus in Fargo on March 8th.
Angela and Titus each have to raise around two hundred dollars which includes a nine- meal plan, the hotels, and the clinic itself. Any donations would be gladly appreciated.
Congratulations Titus and Angela on this great honor!
