BHS earns District One-Act championship

On November 28 the Bridgeport One-Act cast, crew, and coaches made the two and a half hour drive to Chase County, Nebraska, in order to perform their play “Oedipus Rex.” Arriving bright and early the students watched the other plays, anxiously waiting for their turn to shine. After finishing off twelve pizzas the cast and crew began preparing to put on their production. At 4:30 P.M. it was finally time to perform. After the plays were completed the team sat on the edge of their seats waiting for their results to be announced. After what seemed like an eternity, Bridgeport’s entire cast was given outstanding acting awards. For the third year in a row Bridgeport captured the Class C1-6 District title. The team will travel to Kearney to perform “Oedipus Rex” for the final time on Friday, December 7, at 2:30 at the Merryman Performing Arts Center. We hope to see you there and break a leg to the entire cast, crew and coaches!
