Bridgeport girls have big win against Morrill

Friday night the Lady Bulldogs played the Morrill Lions
at home. The Bulldogs started out extremely strong in the second
quarter with a 29-9 lead. By the third quarter the Lady Bulldogs
were pulling even farther ahead with a 43-13 lead. By the end of
the third quarter the Ladies had a secure lead of 48-23. It was a
good game played by both teams.
The Bulldogs scored eight points in a row to extend a 19-4 lead to
27-4. Then the Bulldogs went on a another run in the third quarter
to put the game away.
Coach Schluterbusch said, “We executed our offense, and figured
some things out, and our team defense improved.”
Renae Jacobson had 4 points, Ashley Vergil had 12 points, Molly
Steer had 3 points, Courtney Laux had 6, Simonne Spurgeon had 6,
Charlee Wallesen had 5, Ti Wright had 6, and Natalie Hadden had 6
points. Good Job Lady Bulldogs!
The Junior Varsity girls also played a very good game against the
Morrill Lions. The final score was 39-31 in favor of the
Bulldogs.
Karlee Palmer had 3 points, Molly Steer had 11, Simonne Spurgeon
had 12, Manda Steer had 4, Taylor Huck had 2, Alyssa Peters had 1,
Marissa Steer had 2, and Emily Wright had 4 points. Good Job
girls!
