Bridgeport wrestlers compete with Hemingford

The Bridgeport wrestling team suited up on Thursday, December 13 to match their strength against the Hemingford Bobcats. The boys did well, many of them coming out on top of the competition. In the 119 weight class, Chance Hall was defeated 2-1 by decision. At 125, Nicholas Lapaseotes was pinned in 1:29. Tyler Eichthaler fell to a 1:29 pin in the 140 weight division. Shane Laux prevailed in the 152 class with a pin at 2:29. Taylor Covalt won in the 171 division by forfeit. Chance Cunningham, also in the 171 division, won with a 1:15 pin. Wrestling at 285, AJ Luce pinned his opponent with a time of 3:30. Although the Bridgeport wrestlers came away with many wins, Hemingford came out on top with a final team score of 39 against Bridgeport’s 24.
