Speech Team Dominates Again!

The Bridgeport Speech team continued its winning ways last weekend at the Bayard Invitational. The Bulldogs earned the champion sweepstakes trophy after placing in eight events and racking up a unrivaled thirty-nine points. Hemingford came in second with eighteen points, respectively.
Senior Katie V said, "We just keep improving. Hopefully we can keep up the good work and shine at districts."
Once again, the Bulldogs were lead by their seven seniors. "We had a really good day and had a lot of people break into finals," senior Ashley L commented. "The competition was tough, but overall we did a great job. I am excited for what's to come!"
Next Saturday, January 26, the Bulldogs travel to Scottsbluff for the Bearcat Invitational.
Placing for the Bulldogs were:
1st place - The OID group: Ashley L, Leigh C, Titus K, Katie V, and Jaicee P
1st place - Informative - Ashley L
3rd place - Poetry - Titus K
5th place - Poetry - Ashley L
5th place - Persuasive - Kendal H
5th place - Humorous Prose - Titus K
6th place - Persuasive - Satchell H
6th place - Serious Prose - Katie V.
