BHS boys drop contest to Morrill

Morrill beat Bridgeport’s varsity boys basketball team 42-39. In the first quarter Morrill stayed on top 10-4. Players who scored for Bridgeport in the first period were Jase D and Hardan K. During the second quarter Bridgeport remained down 14-18 after trailing 16-21. Dean helped Bridgeport fight back by scoring eight points, including two free throws. The Bulldogs would continue to battle the Lions. The third quarter the two teams traded baskets, tying three times. Morrill remained up 28-29. Dean kept the score close through most of the fourth quarter with a final outcome of 39-42, the Lions prevailing. The following Bulldogs scored: Junior T 3, Hardan K 2, Bryce D 3, Jase D 23, Destry S 4, Trevor Z 4.
The Bridgeport junior varsity boys basketball team beat Morrill 59-21 on Saturday. The following Bulldogs scored: Junior T 4, Pierce F 14, Steven T 11, Jake A 5, Mike B 6, Nick R 4, Andy P 3, Taylor M 4, Daniel W 5, Jesse B 3.
