Bridgeport had a very close game this Saturday against the Morrill Lions and ended up winning 42-31. Courtney L put in the first bucket with 7:17 remaining in the first period. At the end of the first quarter the Bulldogs were up 11-5. Renae J was fouled on the shot. She made two free throws to make it a 13-9 lead. Bridgeport led at the half with a 17-15 score. Natalie H put in the first bucket in the second half. By the end of the third quarter Morrill was up with a 27-21 lead. Bridgeport’s defense allowed Morrill only four points in the fourth quarter. With :15 seconds left on the clock Simonne S got a rebound and then put back to make it the last shot of the game.

“We were flat” Schluterbusch stated. “We need somebody to step up.”

The girl’s JV put over a 39-23 win over Morrill. Marissa S led the team with eight points behind her was Molly S and Simonne S both with seven. Manda S, Alyssa P and Taylor H each had four points. Emily P and Emily W had two and Nicole H one point.

Good luck ladies at home this weekend.
