Speech Team Nabs Another!

Last weekend, the Bridgeport speech team traveled to Scottsbluff for their most difficult and biggest meet of the year. In winning fashion, they won the class C/D sweepstakes by a landslide. The Bulldogs racked up an impressing 64 points to win the class C/D team championship. Banner County walked away with Runner-Up honors having earned 16 points, respectively. The Bulldogs even beat Valentine, who captured runner-up trophy for classes A and B.
"I am very proud of the way we have been competing," assistant coach Sarah Roberts said. "It's great to see our kids doing so well."
Next weekend, the Bulldogs head to Chadron for more speech action.
"We just keep placing higher and higher," senior Angela W. said. "Our hard work is paying off."
Individual/Group medalists were:
1st place OID: Katie V., Jaicee P., Angela W., Titus K., Ashley L.
1st place Duet: Katie V. and Titus K.
2nd place Serious Prose: Angela W.
2nd place Persuasive: Shannon A.
3rd place Humorous Prose: Titus K.
4th place Persuasive: Kendal H.
4th place Poetry: Ashley L.
7th place Informative: Jaicee P.
