Bridgeport speech captured their fifth speech championship of
the season. Last weekend, they traveled to Gering for their
final regular season meet of the year. With different
students stepping up every meet, the bulldogs continue to improve
as a team.
"Districts is in two weeks and we will continue to work hard to
prepare for it," head coach Taryn Retzlaff said. "We will be
ready. Many students have a great chance of making it to the
state level."
Districts action heats up on March 3 in North Platte.
Bridgeport will compete against Bayard, Gordon-Rushville, Morrill,
Mitchell, and Kimball.
For anyone wanting to catch a sneak peak of the undefeated speech
team, they will hold a Night of Forensics at 6:30 p.m. on
February 28 in the high school library. Admission will be
$2.00. Desserts will be served. There is a possibility
that the night will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, so
check back often to stay updated!
