Bridgeport girls fall in Districts

Bridgeport took a hard 46-59 loss to the Perkins County Plainsmen on Friday evening. Natalie H made the first bucket of the night with 7:39 on the clock. The Bulldogs finished the first quarter with fourteen points. In the second quarter the girls scored only six points. At half the Bulldogs were trailing by twenty, but the Bulldogs did not quit. Courtney L dominated the third quarter with eight out of the ten points scored. Each team scored equal amount of points in the third. Bridgeport’s defense allowed Perkins County only nine points in the fourth and final quarter. With 46 seconds left on the clock Renae J made the only three-point shot for the Bulldogs.
Courtney L led the Bulldogs with a career high of 23 points. Behind her was Renae J with 10 points. Natalie H had 6 points. Molly S, Simonne S and Ti W came away with 2 points each and Ashley V had 1 point.
