BHS track team competes at Southeast meet

The Bridgeport girls’ track team placed second at the Southeast track meet with 60.33 points. Lingle-Ft. Laramie won the meet with 90 points.
Individually for Bridgeport, the girls’ 4X100 meter-relay team of Alecia H, Courtney L, Ashley V, and Manda S placed fourth with a time of 53.96. The girls’ 4X400 meter-relay team of Hutson, Renae J, Vergil, and Steer placed first with a time of 4:30.34. Steer also took second place in the girls’ 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.18.
The 4X800 meter-relay team of Simonne S, Jacobson, Valerie K, and Jessica T took fifth place with a time of 11:08.60. Toscano placed third in the girls’ 3200-meter run with a time of 13:30.91 and took third in the high jump with a jump of 4’08”. Laux placed in a tie for fourth with a jump of 4’06”.
Spurgeon placed third in the girls’ long jump with a jump of 15’. Molly Steer placed second in the girls’ shot put with a throw of 34’08”. Nicole H placed second in the discus with a throw of 105’08”.
The BHS boys’ track team took ninth place with 33 points. Morrill won the meet with 85 points.
Individually for Bridgeport, Taylor C placed sixth in the boys’ 1600-meter run with a time of 5:11.18. The boys’ 4X400-meter relay team of Jaime G, Mike B, Covalt, and Jase D placed third with a time of 3:45.47.
Dean also placed first in the boys’ 100-meter dash with a time of 11.23 and took first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.07.
Bryce D placed third in the boys’ triple jump with a jump of 37’05.5”.
