Bridgeport Cross Country sprint their way to Longhorn finish line

Bridgeport competed hard last Friday, the 12th , at Kimball golf course. Varsity runner, Valerie K. had a time of 17:30 and placed 4th. WAY TO GO VALERIE! Also on varsity included Ciara V. placing 21st with a time of 20:49. She improved her time from the first meet held in Gering. Brandie W. finished 33rd with a time of 24:43. Dylon B., varsity runner, placed 20th with a time of 23:45. The lonesome Jr. High runner, Janelle K., held on tight with the time of 12:33. Janelle also improved her time. The teams that competed against Bridgeport were: Bayard, Hemingford, Mitchell, Morrill, Pine Bluffs, and Kimball. Coach Craig Johnson said, “Ciara improved over last week and Brandie stayed consistent. Dylon ran well on what has always been a slow course for the boys . Valerie proved that she is now one of the top runners in the conference as this meet included all the conference schools but one. We need to have a good week of practice this week as our racing schedule picks up starting next week.”
