Band Needs You

The Beginning Band program is going through some growing pains, and needs your help. We had an excellent turn-out for the 5th grade band this year, with over 30 of the 36 students going out for band (and a few still considering). This causes a (good) problem, in that we are in need of some more instruments. How can you help? There are instruments sitting in closets or attics around town that are still capable of making music and helping someone learn to play music.
There
are several options if you are interested in helping the band
program. Option 1: You can donate your instrument to the band
program. Option 2: You can "loan" your instrument, and it will be
returned to you in working condition when the school year is done.
Option 3: You can sell your instrument directly to a 5th grade
student's family.
The beginning band is currently in need of flutes, trombones, alto saxophones, and bell kits (used by the beginning drums). If you have any of these, or any other instruments, you can contact Mr. Roberts in the band room by calling 308-262-0346, and ask for extension 125. E-mail is the best way to get in touch, at: groberts@panesu.org.
