Girls Basketball Have Tough Losses Against Bayard and Kimball

On Friday, January 29th, the girls hosted the Bayard Tigers. The girls fought hard but came up short in overtime. The Tigers defeated the Bulldogs by a score of 33-30 in OT. Ashley S. was the top scorer for Bridgeport with 13 points. She also was the top rebounder with 20. Simonne S. followed with 8 points and 5 rebounds. She also contributed 5 steals. Manda S. had 7 points, 4 rebounds and 5 steals in the game. Payton H. scored 2 points and had 2 rebounds.
The following night, the girls played host to Kimball. Kimball defeated Bridgeport by a score of 42-28. Achley S got 12 points and 17 rebounds. Simonne S. got 6 points and 3 rebounds, followed by Manda S with 4 points and 2 rebounds. Tessa H contributed 3 points and 3 rebounds, followed by Sydney F who had 2 points.
This week will be the Western Trails Conference basketball tournament. The bulldogs received a bye in their first round and will go to WNCC to play the winner of the first round matchup. Good luck ladies!!
