Tessa H               2 points, 3 steals
Ashley S             25 points, 12 rebounds, 2 steals
"I thought for the first game of the year the girls came out and played about as well as we could have.  We had great effort the majority of the time and saw a lot of unselfish play.  It was a good way to start the season." Coach Schluterbusch commented.
On Saturday, Dec.  5th,  the girls played the Bayard Tigers for the championship game.  The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Tigers by the score of 46 to 24.  The stats for the game were:
Simonne S         5 points
Courtney L       10 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists
Manda S            1 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists
Charlee W         3 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals
Brittany H         4 points, 2 rebounds
Sydney F           1 point, 5 rebounds
Payton H           4 points, 4 rebounds
Ashley S            16 points, 5 rebound, 4 steals
"We began the game with a lot of intensity in the first few minutes, but as the half went on, we played out of control and didn’t execute on offense which lead to 16 turnovers for the half.  Our defensive tenacity was still there though which enabled us to hold Bayard to just 6 points.  In the 3rd quarter we did a much better job of getting out in our transition offense and executed on our half court offense, more than doubling our half-time score by scoring 21 in the quarter.  Both nights we were able to play a lot of girls which will help give some much needed experience for games to come." Coach Schluterbusch commented.  The Lady Bulldogs next contest will be on December 11th with Bayard.  Good luck Ladies!
