Bulldog wrestling brings three gold medals home after struggling in Chadron

With only three of the Bridgeport wrestlers who placed at the Chadron Invitational on Friday, January 20 and Saturday, January 21, Bridgeport took 17th out of 25 teams.
Brandon N. (138) placed sixth, with a 3-3 record at the meet. Josh (195) and Brent (220) placed fifth, both with a 3-2 record at the invitational.
“The team had a good day on Friday but we had trouble finishing on Saturday. The level of competition was outstanding and we did well to place three. But, we lost a few matches that we could have won and improved our team standing,” commented Coach Johnson.
Dakota A., Wes, Collin, Mark, Dylan, Blake, and Dakota S. also competed at the meet in Chadron.
The Bulldog’s next meet is this Saturday, January 28 in Mitchell, starting at nine o’clock in the morning.
