The 2008-2009 BHS cheerleading season is under way. The squad members this year are: Seniors Alexa L, Chelsae R, Monica T; Junior Nicole H, Sophomore Leigh C, and Freshman Kelli M.They started the year off by cheering at the volleyball game on Thursday, and followed with a performance on Friday before the game, and continued to cheer for the rest of the football game.
To prepare for this year's season, they attended NCA camp in Kearney, NE. They received many awards, including: champion chant award, Herkie team award, excellence in techniques and jumps, six nominees for All-American, three All-American team members, and one member receiving the top All-American award.
