The Child Find program is provided without charge to families who live in the Bridgeport Public School District.  The purpose of the program is:

Ø     To identify children who are having difficulty in their development and

Ø      To provide services to them when appropriate.

Parents who contact Child Find may have concerns about their child’s development in the areas of:

Ø      Hearing

Ø      Vision

Ø      Speech/language skills

Ø      Motor skills

Ø      Thinking skills

Ø      Emotional/social skills

Child Find provides developmental screening and, when appropriate, a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary evaluation for children from birth to kindergarten age.  Screenings and evaluations for children ages birth to three are done in cooperation with the Early Development Network.
